Friday 24 July 2026 is the final day for SASSA SRD R370 grant payments for the July cycle, according to The South African. SASSA distributed July payments in staggered batches across the month, with the last two batch dates falling on Thursday 23 July and Friday 24 July. If you have not received your July payment by end of day on 24 July, you should check your SRD status online immediately. The full schedule of all July 2026 SASSA grant payment dates, including Older Persons, Disability and Children’s grants, is available in our July 2026 payment dates guide.
The SRD R370 grant amount remains frozen at R370 per month for the third consecutive year. Nearly 10 million people currently receive the grant. Each month, eligibility is revalidated automatically against SARS and Home Affairs records, so an approved status in one month does not guarantee payment the following month. Your personal payment date depends on your batch and payment method.
If your July payment has not arrived, check your status at srd.sassa.gov.za or use the SASSA WhatsApp self-service channel on 082 601 0111. The SRD grant continues until 31 March 2027 when a replacement Livelihoods Support Grant is expected to take over. Beneficiaries do not need to reapply for each month but must ensure their personal and banking details remain current.
